Has it REALLY been 10 years?!?

I cannot believe that I will attending my 10 year High School Reunion this weekend!
However, I am really excited.
I have not seen most of my close friends from high school in over 5 years!
I can almost guarantee that we will pick up right where we left off
and be just as ROWDY!
Haha!

My friend Afton called from Texas yesterday to
informed me that she would be riding to Tupelo with me on Friday.
I am so pumped about the extra bonding time!

In preparation of the reunion, I cannot help but take a few trips down memory lane.
High school really was some of the most memorable times in my life.
I cannot wait to catch-up on what everyone has been doing
over the last 10 years.

PS. I feel really old all of the sudden!

Stay tuned for post reunion updates & photos....

Beach Bums & Birthday Celebrations

This past weekend we had a birthday celebration for mine and Robert's birthdays!
We had a great time.
About 20+ of our close friends came out for some skeet shooting, tons of food and fun.
We did miss Mary E however...

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!
Love y'all!
Robert and I truly do have amazing friends and family!

On another note,
T has decided he wants to become a professional beach bum!

He has been getting good practice in this summer!
Love you T!!!

Hello! Meet the Powells!

Long Time No See!?!

It's been awhile, I know!
And boy have we been busy the last couple months!

The frame business has really taken off!
We are having a blast creating new ideas and working with our customers.
We have attended shows/festivals it seems like every weekend.
Here is a sneak peak at what we have been up to...

Let's rewind...

July 4th
We took a trip to my family's lake house in Hiawasee, Georgia.

We had an amazing relaxing time, as usual.
It is so beautiful up in the mountains.
It was Robert's first time to visit there, and I think he is ready to go back! (Minus the 9 hour drive maybe?!?)
We ate, drank and soaked up the sun for a whole week!
The cherry on top was spending some quality time with my sweet nephew Tillman!
I LOVE HIM, almost as much as he loves Elmo!
I absolutely LOVE my family.

A couple weeks later, we attended the Nashobia County Fair...
for me, it was a 1st experience!
Again, BLAST!
We went with our friends Dale and Whitney.
Whit's family has a cabin, so we got the FULL experience of staying on the fair grounds.
My parents came for the day to see us too!
Even though it rained, we did not let that stop us.
We had a great time!
Oh, and we had a booth at the market on Saturday.
So, fun + a little work = a total all around FUN weekend!

I turned 21!!
Haha!!
Although I LOVE a good birthday full of celebration and PRESENTS,
I was a little hesitant to get too excited about OFFICIALLY beginning in my
LATE 20's.
I just keep telling myself that Robert's older!
Haha!!!

So moving on the present...
Last weekend we had a booth at the
Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza.
Robert and his Dad built the booth for the Wildlife Federation.

It looked amazing!
They did a wonderful job!
We had a blast.
Shout out to Robert's parents who help us so much at almost every show/festival!
We could not do it without them.

Tomorrow we are finally getting a chance to celebrate my birthday and
PRE-celebrate Robert's.
Most of our close friends are coming out to the house for some good food, fun and friends!
I can't wait!

Cheers to a fabulous life with great friends and a loving supportive family!

A Lighter Approach

I am getting my hair done today!
Yiippee!!
I think getting our hair done is on every girl's Top 5 Favs.

I am wanting to go lighter for summer.
Here is what I am thinking...
However, how much maintenance would this require????

Post your thoughts!

Love ya!

From Flora to Nashville and Home Again...

This weekend we traveled to Nashville, TN to visit Robert's cousin Abbey George.
Abbey is graduating from high school this week.
We are SO proud of her!
High School - CHECK!
Hollywood - HERE COMES ABBEY!
Abbey is an extremely talented singer.
We cannot to see her name in the spotlight!

Abbey's family hosted an open house in her honor at 55 South.
55 South's menu runs deep into Southern comfort, even offering patrons a daily oyster happy hour. The restaurant features Louisiana favorites such as the crawfish fiesta trio, Delta tamales, fried boudin, and chicken & sausage jambalaya, and
southern staples like greens and cornbread, cheese grits and sweet potato fries.
55 South is named for the highway
that spans from Memphis to New Orleans.
The food was awesome.
Abbey also works part time at 55 South.

After the party, we strolled through downtown Franklin, TN!
I LOVE IT!
Franklin is such a cute quaint little town.
We did some shopping and photo ops.
Here is one in front of Sweet CeCe's Bakery.
This one I took for Porter...

Sunday we rose early and hit the road.
We made it back in time for me to have my first lesson on the lawn mower.
(I may regret this idea.)
I did great! Plus, I was able to start my summer tanning all while being productive.
Can't get much better!

A section of the finished product!

While I slaved away, my husband enjoyed his Sunday afternoon!

All and all the weekend was great!
We had a blast.
We finished the day with a great home cooked meal made of
fresh fish in the oven, lemon potatoes, fresh corn, mac & cheese and biscuits.
Not too great for the hips but...
YUM! YUM!

Hope your weekend was just as full and enjoyable!
Until next time...

P.S. The blog is still under construction; however, I could not handle the plain design any longer!
So, until I can get to Chelle's for some lessons in blogging...
Enjoy the pre-made template!!

UNDER RE-CONSTRUCTION

FYI...

I am currently re-designing my blog.
Patience is a virtue!
I am still not quite a pro at this blog thing..

Michelle is helping me with my re-design.
So, please check back soon for the new reveal...

Thanks!!!

Claire

Catching Up...

I am slacking a little in the blog department lately.
My apologies!
We have been so busy here lately.
We are still enjoying making our frames!
This past weekend we went to The Jerry Clower Festival in Yazoo City, MS.
We had a blast. The entertainment, vendors and food were great!
Here are a few photos from the festival...

Our best friend Stephen (aka Disco) moved back home this past week!
We cannot get enough time with him to catch up!
I think we have been together every night since he got home!
We shared our Cinco de Mayo with him along with lots of our other friends and family!

We shared dinner and of course margaritas at Papitos.
Ryan introduced me to something special...
My new favorite is now the marga-rona!
I am not sure if I like the taste as much as I love how cute it is!?!

This past Saturday night my favorite band, Molly Ringwalds played at Fire.
I know what you are thinking...
FIRE?!?
And yes, we attended!
It was a much needed night of fun with our friends and lots of dancing.
Robert saw tons of friends that he went to school with. It was so fun hearing their stories about high school and Robert when he was younger!
My original dance partner could not attend so Robert had to stand in.
(We missed you Mary E)
He was okay! I taught him lots of new moves!
I think we even have a new handshake now!?! Haha!
We had a great time!

Oh and look what I found...

One word: D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S-!

Our Mother's Day was kind of uneventful.
I was not able to spend it with my Mom, however, she knows how much I love her
and how special she is to me!
I LOVE YOU MOM!
Robert's mom has been sick, but we did cook burgers and played with Porter in his baby pool.
I think us just being at her house made her feel much better.

Here is a photo of Porter and his FAVORITE Uncle...

Porter is wearing a t-shirt that we bought him.
It says: "Life is good when you have an Uncle like mine!"
So true!

Hope your weekend and Mother's Day was great too!

Busy week to come! Stay tuned...
