Good Food, Friends & Fishing

This past weekend was another success!

I have a new found enjoyment of fishing! Just call me the little country bumpkin!

Friday night we had a great dinner at Pan Asia with 12 of our closest friends

and enjoyed a late night of dancing at Shuckers!

Always a GREAT time!

I had my first experience at a little place we like to call

F-Jones...NOT A SUCCESS!

I can say I have been there and done that...and will NEVER do "THAT" again!

Saturday night we had a small fish fry at our house. We tried out our new fry daddy! I highly recommend that if you are in the market for one to try Emeril's. It's amazing!

It has it's own oil filter! It seperates the good oil so you can use it again!
And has very easy clean up.

Not to mention, the fish was great! The weather was awesome.

 We sat around outside and enjoyed every second.

Sunday was typical...FISHING with the hubby!

Running A Fever...

SPRING FEVER !!!

So believe it or not, I went on my first walk of the year yesterday. The weather was absolutely perfect!

For those of you that know me, you know that I absolutely HATE any form of exercise...SERIOUSLY!

However, I feel amazing today! I can honestly tell that I have more energy.

So, let's hope this fever to be outside and productive continues running high.

THE GOAL: 15 to 20 lbs.

EXERCISE DAY 1: Complete.

WEIGHT LOSS: 0 (Need to buy a scale!)

The only issue I have now is the equipment. This girl needs a new pair of shoes!

Suggestions??

I am thinking of trying the Reebok Easytones or something equivalent.

The shoes I am wearing now seem so heavy and I trip over my own 2 feet!

Ok, so maybe it's just the fact that I am out of shape, BUT I honestly think new shoes may help in this girl continuing on her journey to the skinnier side!

Beautiful Weekend

Robert and I had a very AWESOME weekend!

Friday night we had dinner at Julep. Fish tacos are always amazing!

Followed with drinks at Bulldog and turned in early for much needed sleep.

Saturday was gorgeous. Robert went squirrel hunting while I hit up the shops! New Jessica Simpson jewelery was a MUST to complete my outfit for dinner at Tico's. We had a quick nap and a snack before hitting the town again. Dinner at Tico's with great friends was so good, as usual. We went to Cherokee after dinner to hear a friend's band.

SO FUN!!! We danced the night away.

Sunday was the best way to wrap up the weekend.

Fishing with the husband...AND THE DOG!

That's right, we have a new found talent for our lab Delta. She can fish!

Lunch was the best. Chili cheese dogs!

Crawfish Season

It's that time of year again! CRAWFISH!

I was so excited when I got a text this morning that said,

"Crawdad Hole tonight @ 6. Be there!"

I immediately called Robert and begged for us to go. You would have thought that I had just been given a free trip to Disney World! I was excited. It's 70 degrees and gorgeous outside. It was an invitation I was NOT going to miss!

Crawfish + Cold Beer + Good Friends = Complete Bliss!!

Who Wants A Puppy?!?

Delta gave birth to 6 precious puppies on Wednesday Feb. 9th. Momma and puppies are doing wonderful! Please let me know if you are interested.

They are AKC registered, all shots, wormed, dew claws have been cut, bred from champion bloodline and proven hunting stock.

There are 2 blonde males, 2 black males, and 2 black females.

$750 each. $200 deposit required.

Ready March 23rd.

Our First Post

Welcome to the day in the life of a Powell! I have always wanted to start a blog, but never really had a reason. Well now as newlyweds why not?!

Robert and I got married on November 13, 2010. We are so excited to begin our life together as husband and wife. We have been together for a little over 3 years. Before we got married Robert said that I make it through 3 hunting seasons. I never really understood why until this last season. Robert is an avid hunter. If it moves, he is hunting it. He is fascinated with wildlife! I have learned to value "my" time while he is gone. Our married life so far is more than I could have imagined. I married my best friend and continue to fall in love with him everyday. We love to be outdoors and try new things together. We love to go boating, fishing, ride four wheelers and spend time with our family and friends.  I would describe us a the typical southern family!
